This event hopes to connect students and faculty members in the STEAM field from all of Houston’s universities and colleges.

This event was planned and organized by students from the University of Houston and Houston Community College with the help of Ion and Ion Student Ambassadors .
Clark Horak is an honors student at Houston Community College pursuing a degree in Computer Science. He is currently President of the HCC Computer Science Association. This role enables him to connect with the academic and tech communities in Houston to build new opportunities for students and individuals with an interest in tech. In the Spring of 2022, Clark was part of the team that organized and hosted the inaugural HCC “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Houston” Conference. These opportunities serve his passion for connecting others with the world of tech and striving to be at the forefront of innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Denzel Wilson is a student studying Psychology and Computer Science at the University of Houston. He recently received his first Associate’s Degree In Artificial Intelligence in the state of Texas from Houston Community College. He is very interested in human cognition and its connection with AI. Denzel has been featured in articles by the Houston Chronicle, NVIDIA, and Amazon Web Services. He enjoys connecting with students in the tech space and providing them with networking opportunities.
Igor Lucic is a student studying Computer Science at Houston Community College. He is passionate about building things and connecting with those around him. He is enthusiastic about Raspberry Pi computers. Fun fact: In 2019, Igor joined the team at Oracle and they set the world record for building the world’s largest supercomputer.
