With two indoor stages and an outdoor amphitheater, White Oak Music Hall in the Northide Village neighborhood—immediately north of Downtown and east of The Heights and I-45—provides ample venue space for everything from international touring acts to the freshest local, regional, and up-and-coming bands.

The upstairs room at White Oak Music Hall fits up to 300 fans for performances by Houston’s favorite homegrown groups, underground indie musicians, and niche genres. Downstairs, established touring acts and some of the trendiest up-and-comers play to more 1,000 fans. while the outdoor stage welcomes some of the most legendary names in music for a performance to more than 3,000 fans sloped on the lawn outside.

Developed and operated by Pegstar Concerts and boasting one of the busiest calendars in town, White Oak Music Hall has shows on most nights of the week and sometimes two shows occurring on the same evening. This can make parking in one of the three lots at the venue a challenge and may add lines to security checks. So a little pre-planning goes a long way.

Thankfully, it’s possible to arrive early and make use of the adjoining Raven Tower, an elevated bar built in the 1970s, that provides one of the best views of Downtown Houston in the city. White Oak Music Hall also features a rooftop patio, presented by 8th Wonder Brewery, that offers seating and relaxation with views of Houston’s skyscrapers.
