• Karen Scarbrough – Organizer of Houston Ethereum Meetup; Microsoft Blockchain. Karen has been an active member of the larger blockchain and Ethereum communities since 2017. She currently co-hosts the Houston Ethereum meetups and has participated in the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance as well. In 2018, she worked for Consensys as a developer before joining bp’s innovation team as a Senior Technology Associate with a focus in blockchain and privacy preserving technologies. She currently explores various use cases including the potential of decentralized finance, retail applications, and community organization.

• Mahesh Sashital – Mahesh Sashital has been a passionate technologist for over 20 years. He is the cofounder of Lucrisma, a fintech web3 startup which enables users to aggregate and own their financial information and rewarding them for sharing it with financial institutions. He also founded the Houston Blockchain Alliance in 2018, which aims to educate and increase awareness & adoption of blockchain, crypto and web3 in Houston. He is also the cofounder of Smartereum, a crypto news site which he started in 2017 and grew to over 600,000 monthly users.
