Mark retired as an upstream senior vice president of ExxonMobil Corporation in April 2018 after 38 years of service and 11 years on the Management Committee. His energy industry leadership roles have taken Mark around the world and have put him in contact with a variety of world leaders.

Mark graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979  and is married to his high school sweetheart, Cindy.
