Danny Wuerffel, Heisman Trophy Winner, Executive Director of Desire Street 
As quarterback for the Florida Gators , Danny Wuerffel led the NCAA in touchdown passes in 1995 and 1996. In 1996 Danny won the Heisman Trophy while leading the Florida Gators to their first national championship. Danny was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013. He went on to play in the NFL for Green Bay, Washington, Chicago and New Orleans.

While playing for the New Orleans Saint Danny began volunteering with Desire Street Ministries in NOLA’s 9th Ward. That time of service turned into a calling.  Today he is the Executive Director of Desire Street as well as President of the Wuerffel Foundation
