About the Event

We will meet on Wednesday, April 17th, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch at 1801 Allen Parkway from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the formal presentation from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. For security purposes, you must register by Tuesday, April 16th at noon. Bring a photo I.D. for entrance into the Federal Reserve Bank building.

About the Speaker

Mace McCain serves as president, managing director and chief investment officer of Frost Investment Advisors, LLC., and has more than 35 years of financial management experience. He oversees all mutual fund and institutional portfolio management activities, research, and trading for the Adviser. Mace joined Frost in August 2000 as a relationship and investment manager with a focus on foundation and endowment accounts, as well as large family relationships. He later led the statewide portfolio management staff and helped develop Frost’s alternative investments offerings. He has managed some of Frost’s largest relationships with endowments and funds, and he led the successful conversion of over 8,000 accounts to new trading, performance and reporting technology systems in 2020.

Prior to joining Frost, Mace held investment and management positions at the Ohio Teachers Retirement System and the Teachers Retirement System of Texas, and held positions at reinsurance brokerage E.W. Blanch, Inc., and private equity firm Bexar Capital.

Mace earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Ohio State University.

The Houston Economics Club (THEC) is an association of economists, analysts, researchers, businessmen, businesswomen, entrepreneurs and academics who meet regularly to network, discuss recent business news and listen to prominent experts share their insights on current economic events. THEC is an affiliate chapter of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE).Every month of our program year—August to June— we invite a prominent speaker to share their insights on current economic events. We meet for a luncheon each month, typically at the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Meetings run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., starting with networking, followed by the speaker’s presentation and a brief Q&A.
