When you think of swamps, you probably think of mud, mosquitoes, and gators – but how about singing sirens, glowing birds, and painted devils? Houston’s swamps are more mysterious and fascinating than you think! In this class we’ll learn some of the secrets of the swamp, including the aquatic rabbit that once threatened a President, why some trees have knees, and the incredible engineering power of the humble mudbug. 

Class will be held rain or shine – dress for the weather and wear walking shoes. Weather permitting, we will be walking about 0.25 miles on mulch and boardwalk.
