Rice University’s Visual Communication Symposium (VCS) 2023 is a two-day symposium for scientists, researchers, graduate students, and non-profit representatives to explore new ways of visualizing their work. This year’s theme is “Because the data doesn’t speak for itself.” Instead, it’s humans—with all their creativity and biases—who collect, analyze, visualize, and interpret data. At VCS 2023, we will explore the ways we use visualization to make data “speak.” We’ll have networking, workshops, and talks from experts.
