Get ready for the popular Idol of the Heights vocal competition!!

Preliminary Round 1 is February 10th at Wakefield Crowbar.

Preliminary Round 2 is February 17th at McIntyre’s.

Winners from the preliminary rounds will be invited to the
Semi-Finals on February 24th at Eureka Heights Brew Co.

There, the top 6 finalists will be selected to move on to the final competition to be held on stage at the Crawfish Festival on March 4th.  There is no charge to hear talented singers begin their quest as they compete for top prizes of $1,500, $700 and $300 prizes.

The cost of pre-registration is $25; $40 at the door on the nights of the competition.
Preliminaries are open genre.  A panel of judges (along with audience participation) will select the winners.

— RULES —

Contestants must be at least 21 years of age or older as of February 8th to enter the contest. Employees of the Chamber or Sponsors are not eligible to enter. All contestants will be judged on an impartial basis. The judging will be rated by 3 judges. Each contestant will sing one song. All contestants will be judged on vocal strength, entertainment value, and accuracy/timing. Each judge will issue points on a scale of 1-10 per category giving each contestant a possibility of 30 points per judge. The total points will then be added together to determine the winner. Please refrain from inappropriate conduct or profanity. Disqualification is upon the event leader’s discretion. Good luck and have fun!!!

Contestants will sing one song at the finals.

By completing and/or submitting this form, I hereby authorize the Greater Heights Chamber of Commerce, the Idol of the Heights Contest, and the Heights Crawfish Festival and their representatives and employees (“Organization”) to take photographs of me in connection with the Idol in the Heights Contest (“Contest”). I further authorize the Organization to copyright, alter, use, and publish in print or electronically any such photographs of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.

Additionally, I understand that my participation in the Contest is voluntary, and I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. I also waive any potential compensation arising from or related to the use any such photos. I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge the Organization from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization in connection with the Contest.
