**About the Feb 22nd Moon Landing**
The [Odysseus lander](https://www.nbcnews.com/science/space/moon-landing-odysseus-touches-down-lunar-surface-n1308924), built by Houston-based Intuitive Machines, landed on the moon on Feb 22, making history as the first commercial craft to reach the lunar surface and the first U.S. spacecraft on the moon in more than 50 years. Odysseus’ mission is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services program that supports the development of moon landers by private-sector companies. NASA eventually plans to hire these companies to transport cargo and scientific instruments to the lunar surface as part of the agency’s broader ambitions to return astronauts to the moon. Lonestar’s data center is one of the commercial payloads included in the Odysseus mission.

**About Lonestar**

With its mission to provide disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) from the moon and lunar orbit, Lonestar has taken an early lead in off-planet computing. The venture-backed startup company provides secure digital services for enterprise and government customers, including direct services and partnerships with cloud platforms.
