Cultural Landscapes: A UNESCO World Heritage Site in Piedmont

April 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a talk by Dr. Fabrizio Aimar exploring ways to enhance the resilience of UNESCO cultural landscapes in Piedmont and beyond.

Join us Wednesday, April 2nd for a fascinating lecture by Dr. Fabrizio Aimar exploring ways to enhance the resilience of UNESCO cultural landscapes. This presentation will focus on two case studies—one in Italy and one in China—examined comparatively for the first time. Aimar’s study investigates and contrasts different notions of landscape and the changes affecting them, highlighting the need for an integrated management system that strengthens rural communities to better handle change and continuity.

The presentation is based on Dr. Aimar’s recently published book, The Resilience of Cultural Landscapes: Perspectives from UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
