Raised in the Chicago suburbs, Lona’s passion for the arts was ignited at Interlochen National Music Camp. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Boston University School of Theater Arts, she honed her skills in producing, directing, and acting in New York City’s off-Broadway scene. Her journey took a transformative turn after September 11, leading her to become a professional fundraiser, raising philanthropic capital for prestigious institutions like Houston Grand Opera and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. With over $50 Million committed for various projects, Lona realized the crucial role of financial planning in philanthropy, prompting her to pursue an MBA and transition to a career in finance in 2020. Today, she collaborates with individuals, families, businesses, and non-profits, helping them secure their future and achieve their philanthropic aspirations. Outside of work, Lona is dedicated to serving her community through various leadership roles in local non-profit organizations, alongside enjoying sixteen blissful years of marriage to Andy Anderson.
