ETHICS CE: CFP Board’s Revised Code and Standards/Enhancing Your Ethical Intelligence

Bonnie Kirchner, CFP®, MST
Sea Change Financial Education

Have you adapted your practice to meet the new CFP Board Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct? Satisfying the CFP Board Ethics requirement is not something to which we all look forward, but it is necessary to maintain certification. Think of it as taking a step back from the daily rush to reflect on how you run your practice and make decisions. In doing so, you not only enhance your ability to take the best possible care of your clients but also protect yourself and everything you’ve worked so hard to build. It is a worthwhile investment of your time. Bonnie Kirchner, CFP®, MST, presents ETHICS CE: CFP Board’s Revised Code and Standards/Enhancing Your Ethical Intelligence. This session will cover the required CFP Board learning objectives and qualifies for two hours of ethics CE credit.

Bonnie Kirchner, CFP®, MST has been a financial advisor since 1990 and a CFP ® Practitioner since 1996. She has a degree in Financial Planning and Counseling from Purdue University and a Master of Taxation degree from Bentley University where she currently serves on the faculty. Prior to publishing her book, Who Can you Trust With Your Money?, she co-anchored the morning drive radio business magazine, “Early Exchange”, and was the daily financial reporter for Boston’s CBS affiliate in addition to running her own practice. Having experienced firsthand the devastation caused by an unethical former CFP® Practitioner, her personal and professional experiences give her extraordinary insight into the issues surrounding trust and money as well as ethical breaches. Bonnie is the founder and owner of Sea Change Financial Education, a firm dedicated to educating individuals on financial matters and the emotions which drive decision making.

5:50 – 7:00 PM Happy Hour at Karbach Brewing Co.
Stay and network with your friends and colleagues over good brews (or root beers!) and heavy appetizers!
