Women, join us for a day of motivation, success stories, career strategies and networking!

This conference is designed for All women—the unemployed or underemployed, high school and college students, veterans, and women in transition.

A Morning Track will get you pumped with information about petrochemical and industrial trades career fields—and how capable, motivated women like you are finding success in a once male-dominated profession. Then, after a powerhouse lunch, an Afternoon Track will include panel discussions about specific careers, and what it takes to obtain and advance in your new field.

During breaks you’ll make new friends and talk to industry representatives from ExxonMobil, Worley, BASF, Dow, Phillips, Occidental, Zachry, Houston Gulf Coast Building & Construction Trades Council, and many others. You’ll visit exhibits and gather important information that will help you begin or move ahead with your own career in a challenging new field with serious salary and benefits.

Your day will end with “how to get hired” sessions sponsored by the area’s nine community colleges. We’ll tell you about financial aid, child care, fast track courses, and certificate and associate degree programs.

Tickets are just $20.

Keynote Speaker

Karen Sobel

Worley, Group President, Americas

Karen is responsible for all Worley businesses in the Americas which includes a large portion of the construction, maintenance and operations business.

Prior to this role Karen held the position of Group President, Major Projects and Integrated Solutions across the organization. Karen joined Worley in 2013 and over her 30-year career has delivered significant projects in both the energy and resources sectors, domestically and internationally. Her extensive international experience provides a strong foundation for building successful, diverse and collaborative teams. She has held senior project and executive positions with global engineering/construction firms. Karen sits on the Worley Foundation Council and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah.

Kesha Creeks-Williams

ExxonMobil Chemical Plant, Shift Team Leader

Kesha Creeks-Williams is a Shift Team Leader at the ExxonMobil Chemical Plant in Baytown, Texas, where she was born and raised. She is a graduate of Baytown’s Ross S. Sterling High School and Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry. Kesha joined ExxonMobil in 2010, hiring in as a process operator for three years, then as a console operator for five years and most recently a Shift Team Leader. “My number 1 job is being a wife and mother to two amazing little girls. My greatest accomplishments at ExxonMobil are not personal, instead the strides we are making towards recruiting and developing women in this industry. My goal is to normalize the image of female success in Operations,” Kesha says.
