Clean hydrogen is an essential component of a net zero energy system. It has a key role to play in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors, such as heavy industry and long-haul transport, and ensuring long term power grid stability – considering the growing stress due to increase of renewable power production units and massive electrification of end-uses.

Dedicated infrastructures and technologies – from renewable power production, hydrogen production, transport & large-scale storage – will have to be deployed & interconnected to offer the flexibility required for power grid & security of supply for hard-to-abate sectors.
