FemTech Focus Book Club – Doing Harm by Maya Dusenbery
April 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm CDT
Join FemTech Focus at our monthly FemTech Book Club hosted by FemFans Susan Stover and Karen Wells!
On the last Wednesday of every month at 7pm ET, we’ll be discussing a book from the world of women’s health and wellness.
Whether you’ve read the book in entirety, skimmed a few chapters, or are just curious about the topics included, all are welcome for thoughtful conversation, Q&A sessions, and an opportunity to engage with the FemTech community.
Bring your favorite drinks or snacks. Zoom video is optional! This will be an informal, relaxed, and nourishing session. You will have an opportunity chat with other attendees on Zoom.
For this month’s FemTech Focus Book Club we’ll be discussing Doing Harm: The Truth About How Bad Medicine and Lazy Science Leave Women Dismissed, Misdiagnosed, and Sick by Maya Dusenbery.
Dusenbery brings together scientific and sociological research, interviews with doctors and researchers, and personal stories from women across the country to provide the first comprehensive, accessible look at how sexism in medicine harms women today.
IMPT: Please register for the event on eventbrite.
Day: Last Wednesday of every month
Time: 4PM PT/6PM CT/7PM ET
Event Format: Join the event via Zoom. FemFans Susan and Karen will lead the discussion into an open session where you can ask questions and engage with other attendees.
