Demystifying Startup Finance and Tax with KPMG

September 17 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am PDT

During this session you’ll get access to a valuable tax toolkit and gain a fundamental understanding of startup tax basics, and more.

There are a lot of decisions a startup and small business needs to make in the early days, that can impact the long-term growth of the company. S Corp, C Corp, or LLC? W2s and 1099s. Sales tax, payroll tax, and don’t forget the state franchise tax. Figuring out what taxes to file and how to structure your company for tax purposes can have a long-term impact on your startup — but it doesn’t have to be an intimidating process.

Topics include:

  • Key business decisions that impact your taxes
  • Entity structure
  • Registration and incorporation
  • Nexus and sales tax
  • Payroll
  • Compensation and equity
  • Tax filings
  • Types of taxes and due dates
