FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Summer of 1776 Festival?

Congressman Dan Crenshaw’s EPIC Independence Day party is BACK by popular demand. This year, we’re bringing the celebration of our great country to Starshine Texas Ranch– a 25-acre outdoor, recreational venue located inside the beltway in Houston, TX. Starshine is home to a hillside concert arena, a lake, picnic areas, a luxurious clubhouse, and a playground for kids.

Join us for fireworks, , slip n’ slides, water activities, beach volleyball, mechanical bull riding, inflatable axe throwing, and a live concert featuring country music star Chris Janson (with hits like “Good Vibes” , “Buy Me a Boat”, & “Fix a Drink”) and rising singer/songwriter Shane Profitt.  All ages welcome.

Provided is a large field in front of the stage where you’re free to set up lawn chairs, umbrellas, and picnic blankets to enjoy the concert and firework show .

What to expect?

Doors open for General Admission ticket holders at 6:00pm. Enjoy the family-friendly games, food truck options, and cash bars with beer and patriotic refreshments available for purchase. Attendees may bring their own lawn chairs and shade umbrellas and claim a spot in one of the designated areas near the concert stage or utilize the limited number of first-come, first-serve picnic tables.

All General Admission areas are outdoors – shady areas, cooling misters, and tents will be around for folks who want a break from the Sun. VIP ticket holders will have access to the indoor clubhouse (see below for more information about VIP tickets).

The live concert begins at 7:00pm with country music singer Shane Profitt. At 8:15pm, chart-topping country music singer Chris Janson – with hit songs like “Buy Me A Boat”, “Good Vibes”, and “Fix A Drink” – takes the stage. Finally at 9:30pm, the epic fireworks show commences and will conclude the event.
