About the Event

Join the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston for a social evening focused on World languages and culture.

What is a world language? A world language is one that is spoken internationally and learned and spoken by numerous people. A world language is characterized not only by the total number of speakers (native and second language speakers) but also by geographical distribution and its use in international organizations and diplomatic relations.

The event will host a guest expert who will be facilitating a discussion around world languages and the intersectionality of language and culture. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions to learn about ways to get involved in their own community as leaders.

Please email our Education Department (edu@wachouston.org) for any questions about our education programs.
