Art Lab is a new, fun and exciting ICCC program catering to children ages 7-10. This 90 minute workshop is ideal for the young artist who enjoys being creative while immersing themselves in Italian culture. Artists will learn about different art techniques and mediums to create fridge-worthy pieces of art. They will also learn the basics of the Italian language.
Festa della Repubblica (Republic Day) is an Italian national holiday which is celebrated on June 2 each year. This day marks the birth of the Italian Republic. To honor this beautiful country, artists will take on a fun art project called “Buon Compleanno, Italia (Happy Birthday Italy)” for the first edition of this program. Artists will create the shape of Italy with cardboard, color it, and then add some of Italy’s most famous monuments in their corresponding regions.
Artists will learn Italian words and Italian history and geography through lots of fun and manual skills. They will receive guided instructions and demos from the instructor. Each artist will take their masterpiece home. All supplies will be provided.
