RICHMOND, TX – Art in The Bend welcomes the spring season as the first of three annual festivals brought to Morton Street in Richmond Texas by the Historic Richmond Association (HRA). The one-day event brings local fine art artisans, a Motor Madness car enthusiast show and introduces a one-of-a-kind festival that welcomes your four-legged best friends to join the festivities with Cisco Tucker’s Bark in the Park competition.
“There are a lot of choices in festivals this time of year”, says Jessica Huang, committee chair of Art in the Bend. “What we offer is a unique experience not found in the big cities. Richmond, the county seat of Fort Bend County is full of Texas history and local flair. Our festivals focus on family, friends, and community intermingled with Texas passions; art, cars, dogs, music and food.”
Richmond Texas is nestled in the bend of the Brazos River. Just double-digit miles from Houston, it’s easy to access from local highways 90A and Interstate 10 and US 59. Art In the Bend is a free to attend festival. Parking is free and easy access. Morton Street is rich with historic buildings, local restaurants, and shopping. Located close to Katy, Sugar Land, and Stafford, there are plenty of wide-open spaces to park, RV and camp, site see, as well as plenty of local lodging options. Mrs. Huang adds, “Richmond is a great city to base out of and spend the weekend experiencing Texas hospitality from our Richmond Rocks local charm to that big city loud or island hopping in the Gulf.”
Develop Richmond is the event’s headline sponsor. Art In the Bend is accepting applications for artisans, food trucks and offers opportunities for businesses to be included as Art Aficionado Sponsors. Visit www.artinthebend.com for applications and additional information.
