Matt Banwart is a stand-up comedian who was born in Florida, raised in Iowa, started comedy in Chicago, once worked in West Virginia, now lives in Austin, and loves making arbitrary lists of places he has been.
He headlines shows across the country but is best known for hosting and judging the hit online show Roast Battle Chicago alongside guests like Jeff Ross, Robert Kelly, and Dusty Slay. His first stand-up comedy album “Town Kid” debuted at #1 on Amazon and iTunes comedy charts. Matt has generated tens of millions of views online across his TikTok and Instagram and recently was a featured performer on Chicago’s 312 Comedy Festival and Madison Comedy Week.
